Associated Steel Group Announces Agreement to Be Acquired by Hanwa Co., Ltd.
Associated Steel Group, LLC announced that it entered into an agreement to be acquired by Hanwa American Corporation, a subsidiary of Hanwa Co., Ltd., pending regulatory approval.
Hanwa is a Japanese trading company with international operations across a broad range of industries, including steel, metals, food products, energy, living materials, machinery, and housing materials.
Associated Steel Group provides engineered steel building solutions across a variety of industries. With more than 55 years of experience, ASG's operating companies, Alliance Steel Building Systems and ACI Building Systems, employ nearly 600 team members and operate from facilities in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Batesville, Mississippi.
The agreement represents a new chapter for Associated Steel Group. The partnership with Hanwa is expected to create opportunities for continued growth while strengthening the capabilities of ASG, Alliance Steel, and ACI Building Systems. Hanwa's global reach, industry experience, and resources are expected to support the companies as they continue serving customers throughout the steel building industry.
